bell pepper...........................................................2 pcs.
Onion...............................................................1 head
Lime.....................................................................3 pcs.
Cumin (jeera)........................................................2 tsp.
Crushed chili pepper...........................................1/2 tsp.
Salt......................................................................1/2 tsp.

Step 1
Season the chicken breast fillet with salt and pepper. In a deep bowl, mix olive oil (approximately 50-70 ml) with the juice of 3 limes, cumin and crushed hot pepper. Add chicken fillet to the resulting mixture. Mix thoroughly until the mixture coats the fillets on all sides. Cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
Step 2
After the specified time, heat a little olive oil in a frying pan. Add the marinated fillet and fry until golden brown, 8-9 minutes on each side.
Step 3
Transfer the finished fillet to a plate and let cool for 10 minutes. Then cut the meat into small strips.
Step 4
Remove the stems and seeds from the sweet peppers and then cut into strips. Also chop the peeled onion.
Step 5
Add onion and bell pepper to the pan in which the chicken was cooked. Cook, stirring, until soft (5-6 minutes). Add chopped chicken here too. Stir thoroughly and after 3-4 minutes remove the pan from the stove. Serve the finished dish with tortillas.
This is how we simply prepared a hearty hot appetizer that can easily replace dinner. As a rule, fajitas are eaten with clean hands, wrapping the filling in tortillas yourself. Thanks to the use of sweet peppers and spices, the filling has a sweetish taste with spicy notes. This harmonious combination is perfectly complemented by wheat flatbread.
