About the recipe


Bulgur with turkey can easily be called one of the healthiest and most delicious dishes. It is known that bulgur is the champion among cereals in terms of the content of nutrients, and at the same time has a low glycemic index. Turkey, in turn, is a dietary lean meat. Together, these two ingredients create an exceptionally healthy dish that will fill you with energy for a long time. The advantages, of course, include the extreme simplicity of the recipe. But, most importantly, bulgur with turkey is so delicious that it will make you and your children eat every last crumb.

I offer you a delicious, simple and dietary recipe for a healthy diet. The recipe is for approximately 4 servings.

Cooking steps

  1. Peel and finely chop the onion.
  2. Rinse the turkey fillet, pat dry with a paper towel and cut into small pieces.
  3. Take a frying pan with a thick bottom and a lid. Put it on fire. Pour olive oil into a frying pan and lightly fry the onion in it.
  4. Add the chopped turkey to the pan and stir-fry it over medium-high heat. Add a little more olive oil if necessary.
  5. Salt and pepper the meat. Then cover the pan with a lid, reduce the heat to low and simmer the meat without opening the lid for another 40 minutes.
  6. If the lid does not cover the pan tightly, or you want more gravy, add 50 ml of hot water, - Mila.
  7. Pour the bulgur into a sieve and rinse with running water. Let the water drain.
  8. Take a saucepan with a thick bottom and a lid. Place it over medium-high heat. Place a piece of butter in a pan and fry the bulgur in it for a few minutes.
  9. If you want a more dietary porridge, you don’t have to fry the bulgur, - Mila
  10. Add hot water to the pan and add salt. Close the lid, reduce the heat to low and cook the porridge for 30 minutes without opening the lid.
  11. To serve, place the bulgur on plates, place the stewed turkey on top and pour the juices from the pan with the meat over everything.
